Abstract
Interreligious dialogue often falls into two problematic poles for Pentecostal communities: negotiating truth claims that can easily turn into apologetic competition and normative pluralism suspected of eroding Christological particularity. This tension is acute in Indonesia, where Pentecostal missionary commitment meets the demands of living together in a multireligious society. Prior studies offer hospitality, religious moderation, and social theology as paths of engagement but have not linked grassroots dialogue praxis, Pentecostal pneumatology, and solidarity with suffering within one theological framework. This article examines Hyuk Cho's Companionship Model through critical-constructive theological research, drawing on Cho, Paul F. Knitter, and Amos Yong, alongside Indonesian Pentecostal scholarship through 2024, analyzed through conceptual mapping, immanent critique, and contextual synthesis. It argues that the Model can be contextualized as pneumatic Companionship, a grammar-shifting dialogue's starting point from judging other religions' status toward shared presence, discernment, solidarity, and public witness amid concrete suffering, without severing the Spirit's relation to Christ and the Kingdom of God. Its novelty enables non-coercive, transformative dialogue without abandoning theological identity.
