Kepemimpinan yang Melihat dan Mendengar: Atensi sebagai Visi Profetik Kepemimpinan Perempuan dalam Gereja Pascadigital
Abstract
Discourse on church leadership remains dominated by an understanding of vision as a future projection centered on the leader, while the postdigital attention economy pushes churches into a competition for visibility. This article aims to reconstruct prophetic leadership vision as attention by drawing on women's experience of leadership in the church. This library research employs a constructive theological approach that brings into dialogue the phenomenology of attention of Simone Weil and Emmanuel Levinas, feminist standpoint epistemology, and a critical reading of the prophetic tradition and Luke 10:38-42. The study finds that attention is not the opposite of vision but a form of vision that precedes and tests prophetic action. Women's marginal position within church structures has shaped a repertoire of attentive practices, yet this repertoire must be distinguished from imposed self-denial. It proposes an attentive leadership model of four practices: attending, listening, naming, and mobilizing. This model helps Indonesian churches assess leadership by the quality of presence rather than the capacity to capture attention.

Diskursus kepemimpinan gerejawi masih didominasi oleh pemahaman visi sebagai proyeksi masa depan yang bertumpu pada figur pemimpin, sementara ekonomi atensi pascadigital mendorong gereja untuk masuk dalam kompetisi visibilitas. Artikel ini bertujuan merekonstruksi visi kepemimpinan profetik sebagai atensi dengan menimba pengalaman kepemimpinan perempuan di gereja. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pustaka dengan pendekatan teologi konstruktif yang mendialogkan fenomenologi atensi Simone Weil dan Emmanuel Levinas, epistemologi titik pijak feminis, serta tafsir kritis terhadap tradisi profetik dan Lukas 10:38-42. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa atensi bukan lawan dari visi, melainkan bentuk visi yang mendahului dan menguji tindakan profetik. Posisi pinggiran perempuan dalam struktur gereja telah membentuk repertoar praktik atentif, tetapi repertoar itu harus dibedakan dari penyangkalan diri yang dipaksakan. Artikel ini menawarkan model kepemimpinan atentif yang terdiri atas empat praktik, yaitu memperhatikan, mendengarkan, menamai, dan menggerakkan. Model ini memberi kerangka bagi gereja Indonesia untuk menilai kepemimpinan berdasarkan kualitas kehadiran, bukan daya tarik perhatian.
