Abstrak

This article examines attentiveness as an alternative framework for comprehending women's leadership vision in post-digital ecclesiological contexts. This study employs a phenomenological framework, drawing on Simone Weil's conception of attention as the supreme expression of love and prayer, alongside Emmanuel Levinas's idea of an ethical response to the face of the Other. It argues that during the current crisis of attention caused by the attention economy and confusion in the post-truth era, the most important type of visionary leadership is not about making bold predictions for the future but about being fully present and truly listening. Historically, church structures have positioned women in liminal and caring roles, leading them to develop distinctive repertoires of attentive practices. This type of leadership focused on being attentive pushes back against the fast-paced and flashy ways of thinking, while also creating opportunities to build a church that is more welcoming and responsive
